Davis now almost gets thrown out because he misjudged a single and headed back to 2nd base, but a bad throw lets him get in to 3rd... the bases are JUICED lets expand this lead to where even Perez couldn't choke it away!
|
Frayed Knot May 20 2010 06:40 PM Re: End This National Nightmare: IGT 5/20/2010 NYM @ WAS |
Nice stick from Ike but he's having a funky trip around the bases this inning -- stayed while he should have gone on two different balls to the OF but is still alive despite advancing only one base.

More in keeping was the bullpen mailing in the last three innings. A handful of rallies were lost to double plays also.

Frayed Knot May 21 2010 08:24 AM Re: End This National Nightmare: IGT 5/20/2010 NYM @ WAS |
In retrospect, one of the biggest plays in the game was Pudge Rodriguez's brain-freeze on the base paths. That snuffed out a potential big inning.
|
Edgy DC May 21 2010 08:43 AM Re: End This National Nightmare: IGT 5/20/2010 NYM @ WAS |
There were a handful of brainfreezes by both teams on the paths. During pitching changes, the third base coaches were waiving guys over from second for impromptu tutoring sessions.
