D-Dad and I likely going to see the B-Mets play the Thunder in Trenton on Friday night. Does anyone want to join us?

That's sorta intriguing.

A chance to hang with the B-Mets and the metfairies is definitely worth a trip halfway across the state.

I'll try to figure out what's going on with my weekend and let you know. I may even bring my Yankee-lovin' girlfriend, as a warmup for the big Met-Yankee night out in two weeks.

Does the park usually sell out when the B-Mets are in town?

Chad - in recent years, the Thunder hasn't sold out. I checked for ticket availability, and there are still lots of tickets available for Friday. I am going to hold off on buying tickets until I know if anyone is joining us and what the weather will be.

I hope you and your MFY-loving girlfriend, whom you should drop but what the heck, will be joining us :)

I'm in. Just me.

Friday's forecast is for scattered thunderstorms.

It takes more than a freakin' thunderstorm to keep Chad Ochoseis and the Diamond Knights from seeing the B-Mets when they come to town! Despite a rain delay, the game was played.

The B-Mets bright spot was starting pitcher Dylan Owen, who gave up one hit in six scoreless innings. Other than that, there wasn't much to report. Roy Merritt gave up three runs in the 7th inning, and Trenton beat the B-Mets 3-0. Kirk Nieuwenhuis was 0 for 4 with three Ks.

But it was fun hanging with Chad for the evening and watching a potential star of tomorrow. It sure beat watching Ollie on TV....

See that? Hanging with me is more fun than watching Ollie pitch. You heard it here first.

A good time was had by all.

It would have been a good time even if the option was watching Johan

Dylan Owen is my adoptee! Though I've neglected him, glad to hear he's not dead in a dumpster somewhere. Glad you had fun, also.

I'll be back in Trenton on Sunday to see John Maine's rehab start with the B-Mets.

Re: The Youth Of America

We caught Jenrry Mejia's start. 4.1 innings - 4Ks, 2 walks, 3 hits, 0 runs (he was pulled because of his pitch count) -

It's nice seeing Tim Teufel managing the Youth of America -

That Yankee fan on the end has one enormous glove.

Check out John McEnroe filling out his score card?
