Sketchy.

Mets fan/artist Joe Petrucchio creates a sketch book entry for every game this season... win or loss. It's like having our own Bill Gallo. But, y'know, good.

And for that, I thanks and salutes him. Please forgive the impertinence.

The rest of Petruccio's stuff is purty, too-- some eye-popping pop art. Just sent an invite.

I'd pay for that book even if the Mets don't win another game for the rest of the season.

Same.

Hell, if he kept at this, I'd have to seriously consider buying one of these a season-- can you imagine having an archive of these to flip through?

I really like the sketches. They demonstrate great creativity and talent. I think a chronological series of sketches representing the season would make a great book any true fan. I envision a sketch for each game accompanied with a boxscore and a brief game summary.

Welcome to the Crane Pool. I hope to discuss the Mets and baseball in general with you in the near future.

Friends, we are in the presence of Mets royalty. Our artist friend is too modest to tell us that he is the one who designed the 1980s racing stripes uniforms we know and love from the 1980s.

The whole saga is revealed on today's Uniwatch blog!
