You know, the Royals have some of the biggest shots in Sabrmetrical thinking in their frustrated fanbase --- Bill James, Rob Neyer, and Rany Jazayerli. It would be cool if they called one of these smart guys out and made him GM.

Interesting in that they let him stay on and manage one more game --- or, as Steve Perry might say, "...just ONE MAAAWWW GAME!" He ends up getting his final victory, ending the teams seven-game skid, and getting Zach Greineke his first win of the year.
