Not NY, but Hershey/Lancaster, PA is a nice destination.

I've never been to any, I've heard good things about Great Wolf Lodge in PA.

I ain't never been to Hershey Park or the Crayola Factory or no underground caverns. But the coolest thing I've seen in eastern Pennsylvania (besides Gettysburg, where Lorcan's forefathers fell, but which a toddler doesn't need or want to see) is Roadside America.

Hershey would be a lot of fun. Great Wolf Lodge is good too, but it gets crowded, and the pool area can get really hot. But, some of the guest rooms have little mini wolf "dens" --rooms just for the kids.

They put a little indoor water park in Waterbury, CT, attached to a Holiday Inn there. Probably not going to get more than an overnight trip out of it, but it's something I've been thinking about doing with the fam, just for a quick, cheap getaway.

I saw tjat place and had the same thoughts , looks good for a day trip.

Great Wolf looks great but damn it's a bit rich for us....a three night stay comes in at $1200....and that's taking the cheapest package....

Still , there looks to be loads of places in the Poconos with good prices.....

Keep in mind that little kids don't need big experiences to thrill them.

Very true, Lorcan would love Roadside America.....especially the trains.
