The National League East requires strength up the middle. Who are your two second basemen, Metsian or otherwise?

We are considering strictly the N.L. East tenures of the players in question, so the jury is instructed to disregard anything it saw from second basemen who hit World Series-winning home runs prior to 1969, for example.

I took Ryne and Chase, probably should have taken Mazeroski
instead of Chase though now thinking about it. I give full per-
mission to pencil me in for him and not Chase if need be.

If this were the Cub Pool Forum, it might be an issue, but just for the record, apologies to Glenn Beckert for his inadvertent omission from the 2B ballot. I'd add him in, but I think it would render all previous votes vanished.

Sandberg was the class of the field. As much as I hate voting for him, I would give the back up role to Utley.

Those two.

When all's said and done, provided he stays reasonably healthy and barring an Old-Testament style smiting, Utley will have had a better career than Ryno. By far.

Sandberg and Garner.

Schneider is a beast of the East --- with the 'Pos, the Nats, the Mets, and now the Phillies.
