... in order to make room for Lidge.

And so it goes.

Did he burn his bridges last week?

Do we go get him and shove him into a room with Peterson?

Do the Mets pay for his train/room/board themselves, or do they bill the Brewers?

I'd rather have Figgy in the pen than Ollie. Alas, I've resigned myself to being stuck with Perez for the remainder of this year.

"The problem with the Phillies," according to a disgruntled Figueroa, "is they don't pay enough attention to what other teams in the division are saying about them. No wonder they keep getting shut out."

Every time Figgy gets demoted or released it seems either he or his wife can't help but take shots at the organization for not valuing him more. It was only last week prior to the Mets/Phillies sereies that he was lauding the Phillies at the expense of the Mets. Now, suddenly, he no longer likes the Phillies philosophy. It seems this guy will never learn the importance of not burning bridges behind yourself when you leave.

Earlier, I said I would like to replace Ollie with Figgy. Now I don't think I want either of them on the Mets.

"There's no telling what I'll say next," the designated righty added. "Thing is, you can attach any quote to my name, and it's kind of believable, isn't it?"

Done in by one bad inning against the Mets?

As long as we're one complication with Niese away from a repeat of Saturday night's situation, I'd consider putting a claim in.

"Works for me!" Ian O'Connor must be thinking.

Figueroa pitches against Buffalo today. Leigh Valley leads Buffalo 8-0 in the 5th. Dillon Gee got lit up.
