The Stanley Cup Finals are set - from the West, the #2 seed Chicago Blackhawks, and from the East, the #7 seed Philadelphia Flyers. The Blackhawks haven't won the Cup since 1961, while the Flyers haven't won since 1975. Who're you rooting for?

Went to school there, still have friends with roots there, have great fondness for the town yet. But yeah, I can't root for a Philly win these days in anything.

I'm the lone Flyers vote. Thought I had more than one Flyers photo scanned, but apparently not. This is from college. That'd be me on the right. (We're standing on a hill. I'm really not that tall.)

I really am ambivalent about hockey. But when trying to come up with a reason to justify rooting for Philadelphia here, I come up empty.

Blackhawks are the better team this year, have the better uniforms, and have suffered the longer drought. And they're not from Philadelphia.

Game 1: Scoring almost as fast in Chicago as they are up the road in Milwaukee. 5-4 Blackhawks late in the 2nd period.

I'm watching Game 2 (scoreless in the second - so far the antithesis of Saturday's game), but finding it hard to hear the announcers because the crowd mike is too loud.

Late in the second period the Blackhawks score two goals in 28 seconds. 2-0 Chicago.

Emerick missing it kind of robbed TV fans of 'The Moment' which is a shame as he's one of the best in any sport IMO. Although, in his defense, neither the ref nor the goal judge seemed to pick up on it right away either.

I meant that as a start into a steady decline into mediocracy. The Flyers barely made the playoffs this year despite their playoff run. But I see your point. Later
