Triple Crowns

Peeps have entertainingly referred to Carlos Zambrano --- having led the league in walks, wild pitches, and hit batsmen --- as having captured the triple crown of wildness.

Jose Reyes led the league this year in steals and triples. I think the third leg of the triple crown of baserunning is steals, triples, and infield hits, but I don't know where infield hits are tabulated. (I also doubt Reyes led the league in that.

I'm probably wrong but I think Willie Tavarez leads the world in infield hits, IIRC the last time the Mets were in Houston is was mentioned that he had 27 or 28 at that time.

Well the OTHER Zambrano, our own Victor, captured the Mets Wildness Triple Crown this year, leading the team in all three categories. It would be a Quadruple Crown if you included balks.

Yeah, I meant ours. A year and a half later, Carlos still comes out when I should be typing Victor.

Victoire!

Here's a Triple Crown I could go for. It could make one a little wild though. Maybe that's Victor's problem.
