Charity Bike Ride

A few weeks ago I completed a 3 day, 240 mile bike ride to raise money for the Charter Oak Foundation. Personally I raised close to $4,000.00. The Tour itself consisted of about 30 riders who together raised about $100,000.00.

This is me on the second day. I'm assuming this image is pretty much what you'd expect...

Awesome. I did a three-day 250 mile ride a few years back, and I hope your achilles tendons do not hurt as much as mine did. It's a great feeling otherwise, I hope you're enjoying your accomplishment.

You know, when I look at this picture really really hard, I can almost see the monkeys flying out your....oh, never mind.

It's a great picture soupy, thanks for posting it! :)

Thanks for the kudos.

It was a lot of fun.

My Achilles tendons were fine. It was my right knee that was giving me fits (look at the picture and you can see me wearing a knee brace that did next to nothing).

Also I got a nasty baseball-sized bruise on my left ass cheek. No idea where that came from however.

Meanwhile, Roger Clemens hides behind a tree, snickering.

Maybe it was from that huge beast. I think we see the shadow of its hand to the right of the picture.

So that's a knee brace and not a hole in your sexy cycling knickers.

"Sexy Cycling Knickers" would be a good name for a band.

Wow, I got mine last week and I was disappointed that it was already too late to go to the fundraiser :)

They really made sure you weren't going to get yours in time to go, heheh

(I wondered why you were acting like you didn't know what I was talking about...)

Twenty-three riders set out from Westport’s Colonial Green today on the first day of the sixth annual Charter Oak Classic Bike Tour, a three-day, 240-mile ride to raise money for college scholarships for high school students in Bridgeport. Since 2001, the Charter Oak Challenge Foundation has raised more than $1.5 million for scholarships and for organizations that work with children and families in Bridgeport.
