The return of Jon Niese and my hope to extend an IGT winning streak to two. Starting one on a homestand helps.

Ike's RBI single-- on 0-2-- makes him 2-2. Slump over... solidly. And then there's David. Whoever caught that had to pay a lot extra to do so... because he hit it TO THE FRIGGING ACELA CLUB.

2nd inning-ending DP-- this one 6-4-3-- gives Niese 5 shutout innings. Meanwhile, on the batside... Ike's second double chases Robertson in the bottom half of the inning.

Per Howie (and Chris M.) on the broadcast, this is the first all-homegrown infield the Mets have started in a game since a Huskey-Bogar-Ordonez-Alfonzo alignment in '96.

I don't know about you guys, but June 10th can't come fast enough. Either WFAN's ad rates are really low, or Foxwoods drops a ton of dough promoting Jethro Tull.

FYI, David Wright has tied Daniel Murphy for most home runs hit at Citi Field in a career: 7. David has an excellent chance to overtake him between now and October 3, if Rod Barajas (5) doesn't do it first.
