They knew that last night, or earlier when they made the first lineup.

Yesterday wasn't a doubleheader. If it hadn't been a rainout, maybe Barajas would have started both Wednesday's and Thursday's games.

traditionally you're giving the catcher the day off the day game after a night game. that's now out the window so you giggle things around as you see fit. don't see why blanco's hitting in the 8 slot though.

Mets seeing a lot more pitches than usual against Latos, it seems. He's up to 61 after 4, and took 15 pitches to work through a no-muss, 1-2-3 inning in the 4th. Johan's cruising... although he's without a single K as yet.

HE GOT TWO OUTS UNDER ONE P-ITCH! WHAAAA THROW ANYONE ELSE? Either Howie or Wayne said something earlier this week along the lines of enjoying Johan's work most when he gets in situations like this last one. It does seem like the b'ar is eating him a lot more often these days, though.

Following along on the iPhone while doing chores today. Johan clearly was unaccustomed to working with a two-run lead and had to get back to familiar turf. Would be cool if they could tack on some insurance to give him some breathing room!

If they didn't have Denorfia, we'd be in much deeper doodoo here. He's been more valuable in keeping us close than any Met hitter but Blanco.
