Is currently the bench coach in Baltimore but is expected to replace manager Dave Trembley before Friday's game.

Good for Juan Samuel. Yeah, I know he upset all the Met fans for being in a bad trade but he was really something else when he arrived as a young Phillie. And he's been in the coaching ranks for a long time it seems, good that he's getting a shot.
