OK, I'm writing about a local community college and a tussle over funding an theater group, and I saw the group's schedule for next season: The Sweetest Swing in Baseball By Rebecca Gilman March 18, 19 & 20 and March 25, 26 & 27, 2011 Artist Dana Fielding is in a slump in her career and her personal life. Her boyfriend has lost patience, her latest gallery opening is a flop and her anxiety for it all turns her into a recluse. When Dana attempts suicide she lands in a mental ward, but finds she enjoys it so much she wants to stay. With her insurance running out, her solution arrives from an unlikely source: Darryl Strawberry. The Sweetest Swing in Baseball is an inventive and hilarious look at the demands and tremendous costs of creating art. --- So, I know what I'm going to see next March.

They should get Darryl to play himself. Hopefully he's better at motivating Dana than he was Jeff Francoeur and Jason Bay.

I saw "The Sweetest Swing in Baseball" in Boston a few years ago. It was entertaining. Don't expect a whole lot of baseball content though.
