I thought you were Italian Nymr, on account of you living out in Staten Island I suppose. I'm assuming a lot here I guess, but you'd be Jewish going to yeshiva elementary school?

When I lived in New York City, all of the Jewish folks I had met were of Ashkenazic background. Last names ended in things like ... witz, ...stein, ...berg. (Plus the Levys and Cohens, but that's a whole other story that traces to Biblical roles in the community.) When we were looking for a house in the Danbury area, we asked the real estate agent to show us the local Jewish Center. As we drove past one, the sign said "United Jewish Center. Jerome Malino, Rabbi". My wife turned to me and said "What a hick town. The Rabbi isn't even Jewish". We later learned that Danbury had a substantial Sephardic Jewish polulation that originally came there with the influx of craftsmen from Portugal. I didn't know you were of-the-tribe, but I did assume you were full of self-loathing, because you're a native Staten Islander.

I'm assuming a lot here I guess, but you'd be Jewish going to yeshiva elementary school? we are an island full of fake orange tanned italians, but there are jews here. i do know jews who went to catholic school, but have yet to meet a non-jew who attended yeshiva. also, i have a feeling you are joking
