Middling seasonal numbers aside, Bonderman's a much better pitcher than he was as a flamethrowing prospect 4 or 5 years ago, and he has put together a VERY solid last six weeks (2.96 ERA, 1.198 WHIP, 42 K, 11 BB). Take away one terrible start against the Royals, and he's thrown for a 2.02 ERA/1.08 WHIP/4:1 K/BB ratio over the last two months.

Tiptoeing through some pretty spiky weeds, Dickey is. The defense helps, but... the knuckler hadn't been doing too much jitterbugging until the last couple of hitters.

I liked Jerry's (Seinfeld, not Manuel) point about the monotony of commercials during baseball telecasts. "Can we get a few more sponsors?" It's been like that for as long as I can remember. The same three or four damn commercials, again and again and again. Giuseppe Franco. Derek Jeter's Edge. I remember years ago, my sister and I both were able to recite along with the Garcia y Vega cigar commercials because we saw them again and again.

(radio commercials are the same way too) I know nothing about this stuff, so this is all me just talking what comes to my head, but maybe since you're selling ads for a station/month that really is only giving you ratings for 3-4 hours 25 days a month, they can't quite charge that much for ads(hence why we see so many local dealerships and such, probably more affordable) and don't attract that many clients due to that reduced window. And since the prime-time window is very small, they have to play the ads then. I mean, I'm sure if you told Ford you'd play the Edge commercial twice as much, but not during the games, they'd pass altogether. I'd like to see them create more than one ad though, so instead of seeing the same exact commercial 42 times, you'd at least see 3 different ones 16. maybe ads more dynamic. (I think this is something all companies should do anyway) i tend to really like the Geico "Watching the game" ads where they give you some interesting fact.

This is what I get for doing this at work on a non-calibrated monitor...

I screwed up the white balance setting in camera raw, so there was too much cyan in the first one...
