Mets are 2-5 in Puerto Rico.

thole still around, and I doubt they'd ship him all the way back to Buffalo from down there, so probably here for three? Maybe they'll even use him?

Dave Lennon reporting:

Now very loud thunderstorms in the neighborhood.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Puerto Rico...or as Jay Ferguson calls it, Thunder Island!

Re: IGT--Mets @ Marlins, San Juan, PR, 06/28/10

Forecast calls for rain-- scattered thunderstorms, specifically-- during the entirety of the series.

Wet, slick artificial turf with iffy drainage. This should be nice and safe for all parties involved.

the missus tells me the weather has been horrible there for weeks, near constant rain, bmfc can attest to that.

I had that 45. Very thrilling with her dress undone and stuff.

I just read that Jay Ferguson wrote the theme song to "The Office"

Re: IGT--Mets @ Marlins, San Juan, PR, 06/28/10

Jose leads off with a single, and promptly gets picked off of first.

Which was probably a moot point, since Ruben Tejada's groundout would likely have been a DP ball.

Re: IGT--Mets @ Marlins, San Juan, PR, 06/28/10

Shame on you Jose.
Singles to start the game and gets picked off.

He was really caught off bad, and the way he went back in there, head first and trying to reach around a blind swinging tag....I'd rather see him out than breaking his hand.

Heads up throw by Paulino, behind him at 1st after Reyes did a lil deek I'm goin move..

Keep that tag on him Ruben. If he slides off the bag (and I think he did) you might get the call.

The booth is right.
Infield in there was a bad move.
We even got the grounder to short and it didn't work.

I bet he will eventually be pitchin' tricky.

Uggla's bat winds up in the stands, down the third base line well into outfield territory. Not only does some guy catch the bat, but then he throws it back onto the field. WTF?

Re: IGT--Mets @ Marlins, San Juan, PR, 06/28/10

That was funny,lol.

Uggla swings hard, loses his bat, and it went FLYIN, way far, into the stands.
Lands on (or by) a fat guy, he gets up, waves everyone off, and throws it back on the field.

Dickey joining the Mets' sudden prone-ness to the four-run inning is going to keep him from winning Pitcher of the Month.

May just have to settle for him eating up a few more innings here, preferably without any more damage.

If he goes 7 he will have more beer than I do right now.

Time to explode for four!

Not exactly his choice.

Not exactly a wise one, by my count, considering he's retired seven in a row and appears to have found his groove.

I agree.
Thats why I was thinking 7.
He was finding a groove.
Still, to me, his job in a minimal sense is to go 6 innings for his team.

Nieves don't want any suds either.
MORE SUDS FOR ME!

Agreed TMF.
I'm gonna have to stop goin AFK.

Can we take beer away from Nieve?

Proably not his fault in a sense.
We didn't have to run him out there in the 6th, like you say LWSF.

And/or maybe the 7th.
