Don't know for sure, but I remember first really noticing Mr. Met in Bill Gallo cartoons in the paper. Don't know if the was the creator or a fast follower. Later

How many times do we have to have this argument? No "creator" made Mr. Met, he evolved from generations of cross-breeding among hydrocephalic humans and baseballs. There is no intelligent design, just the happy mistakes of biology.
