And, at last, barring scratches, the homegrown infield start record of Kranepool-Boswell-Harrelson-Foli will be broken by Davis-Tejada-Reyes-Wright with 16.

Woo-hoo?

Overly Sentimental Ashie says woo-hoo in small letters. I do really, really, like this group and hope I can feel as fondly about these four as the former down the road.

Now that's a fun fact!

Just curious: How do you define home grown? Does Ron Darling qualify? How about Steve Henderson?

It's all in here, but in essence, signed, developed and brought up by the Mets. As the linked article elaborates, if we open it up to quasi-homegrown (a la Darling, Hendu and, for our infield purposes, Wayne Garrett), the record is 50 starts. Wayne was here a long time but he never clicked with one particular quartet for very long.

Re: IGT--Reds @ Mets, 07/06/10

I was looking foward to saying nice boring game after 3, and then Tejada did whatever the hell he did there.
Had to be a missed sign, or misread sign more likely.

And Santana is having the most amazing at-bat I've ever seen a pitcher have

With the number of pitches they've seen from this mohawked freak first time through the order, they should start teeing off on him this go-around.

I want more runs.
I want more HRs from our pitcher.

Phils just tied the Braves!
Howard smacked a triple that I thought was a goner, but it hit off the top of the wall and was misplayed by LF'r Diaz.

Santana will start the 9th!

Chipper screws up on the bases and is out, caught off 3rd on a grounder to third.

Thanks, milady-- D-dad's a sweetheart, too (trying to dance Artie into a smile as her mood backslid and TMF took aim with her Nikon). Nice to see G-Fafif as well. We'll hang for longer at some point, when Artie isn't hungry for anything but insurance runs.
