I suppose that between the crap happy Cora batting second and Lincecum pitching for SF, Jerry's gonna bunt every chance he gets. Wilpon's managers think that whether or not a one run lead is likely to hold up for eight innings has everything to do with how tough the opposing pitcher is.

Edgy, I was able to get SNY broadcast by going to mlb.com, selecting "Video" and then "Watch MLB,TV". It will then give you all of the games and network options.

I suspect the Mets will fall short. But you're right, if they do make the playoffs, then Jerry comes back, unless he makes outrageous contract demands as a result of the team's success. If that were to happen, they could easily justify replacing him with scrappy fan favorite Backman.

Nine runs in six games is sure to get the seat a bit warmer. A poor showing on this trip could spell the end of Gangsta Jerry. Tons of Mets fans in the house last night. More than I remember seeing at any game here in the past.
