Re: RA

I'd want him pitching the clinching game for my team.

Re: RA

So, he appears to be arbitration-eligible but not FA-eligible this offseason, right?

Yes. 4.041 years of ML service before this year.

Re: RA

Hard to figure what you offer a guy like him, but at least they control.

Re: RA

R.A. Dickey is Fgirl's favorite player. She just walks around the house, saying each syllable slowly and emphatically.

"R!"

"A!"

"Dickey!"

Re: RA

Dickey's contract calls for him to get $600,000, plus another $150,000 if he meets certain unspecified performance bonuses.

If being ridiculously awesome is the what he needed to do to trigger the bonus, consider him paid.

Would Tim Wakefield be fair to look at and compare?

Here's the coin he made through the years

Right. The good news is he's not going anywhere. I'd be willing to put his 2011 contract in the hands of an arbiter instead of making a big commitment without knowing if he can do this twice.

from back a couple years ago when he was with the mariners:
starts of as a story about catching the knuckle.... but RA talks a lot about what he does.

Re: RA

I'd offer him something in the range of 3 years, $6 million right now. given what he has been through, Ithink he would jump at that type of guaranteed money and roster spot. I doubt he can keep up this level, but would be great to have such a competitive and rubber arm available as a starter or reliever for the next few years.
