I Like Ike...Do You?

For 2010 NL Rookie of The Year. I'm sorry if this topic has been recently visited and I've missed it. Who are the other candidates besides these guys? I think he stacks up.

If the season ended today, I don't think he'd be the favorite, but he does have another two months to (hopefully) strengthen his case. It also could go to a pitcher. Stephen Strasburg is on the DL at the present time, and he got a late start to his season, so it's hard to say how much of a factor he'll be. But he's certainly gotten attention, and that's a big part of the battle.

I like the chart, but would like to see plate appearances listed for the offensive players. Ike has all but locked up a spot on the Topps All-Rookie team, and that's what's important.

Niese's big advantage that I can see is his wonderful date of birth. I also like that he was born in a city that sounds like it could be in Peru.

Posey's maybe my favorite non-Met of 'em (although Heyward and Strasburg have force-of-nature buzz about them). I think either he or Garcia takes it eventually.

Gary likes to mention Niese's brithdate every other game or so. Josh Thole was born the very next day.
