I don't understand. I like Jesus Feliciano fine but I've got an unexplanaible hankering for Fernando Martinez.

Agreed on that.

Also, isn't the second coming of Jesus mean Armageddon?

Right now though Fernando isn't a Guy Who Can Hit.

Maybe it has to be 2012? so hard to keep end of the world stories straight.

Lucas Duda would have been the inspired call-up.

True. Thus I don't understand my yearning.

The call-up (did this actually happen btw?) is going to spend most of his time sitting on his ass for the next two weeks and then go back.
I'm not particularly interested in inspired or interesting call-ups which may burn an option year and/or require a 40-man adjustment.
Besides, wasn't Feliciano the "inspired" choice just two months back?

Well, heck, I make it clear that my position isn't really one I'm in a hurry to defend. But the option year happens anyhow. Martinez came up last year and you get three such seasons to stick.
