I don't believe it's the bullpen but Jery's belief that he can dub a guy a horse and he'll magically develop the ability to bounce back and pitch in hot spots night after night, no matter if he's been starter up until this year or even up until weeks ago, and no matter that this plan has now failed about 10 times in a row.

His ability to put in guys at the moment they can't execute is uncanny. This team looks more like last year's team every night.

Agreed. He's the antithesis of a good manager. It might be worth it if he went all Costanza on us and tried following the opposite of every instinct.

As dicey as K-Rod has been at times, he's not getting paid all that money to watch Manny Acosta pitch with the bases loaded and two out in the eighth. Just out of curiosity, is there a reason Elmer Dessens hasn't pitched in ten days?

Castillo actually had a couple of decent snags tonight that, if Tejada had made them, fans, media, etc., would shirley have pronounced hits if Castillo were out there. Besides, we can spin this loss anyway we want: bad pen, bad Jerry, bad Castillo. But if you go 1 for 28 following Pagan's blast in the first and get 7 hits over two games you're lucky to win once and certainly shouldn't expect to win twice.

That ^ pretty much wraps it. I'd also like to know why Dessens was not used/available(?).
