Mets need to drive through McDonald to FINALLY win a road series in an N.L. park. Seems we hit him pretty good in L.A.

"I don't think that this lineup is composed with the best interests of the team in mind. If they're giving up on the season, they should just say so, so that I can slam them for giving up on the season."

Shouldn't that be "so we can slam them"?
Or has Frenchy been fired?

Re: IGT 8/21/10 NYM @ PIT: Parrot Last Night's Result

In a hitters only meeting Friday Hojo called them out for the lack of offence.

Wright today when asked what effect that meeting had on the O last night said,

As much as l love HoJo, I don’t think we were going out there to win one for the Gipper."

Kind of a dumb question anyway.

We're on.

Up 1-0 after half an inning. But Reyes scored with a head first slide into the catcher's shin guard, which seemed to shake him up.

tbh
I won't really notice one way or the other
I love football (as in soccer) that's what I play and what I care about
however, the mrs and her family from Mayo care plenty more (she won all - ireland medals as a youngster) and because they're mayo i generally get to laugh.

Did an infielder fall down after he caught it, allowing the run to score? Because usually, sac flies involve getting the ball past the infield.

A 3-run Kaboom from Dabidrye makes it 5-1 Mets!

Now let's make the game official!

If he called for a hitters meeting in the beginning of the week no one would have shown.

Mets get their second cheapie of the year.
Rain held off just in time.

- Could be worse, KC & ChiSox got rained out Friday night and are playing a DH tonight ... starting at 6PM local time?!?! How nutty is that? Was something going on at 4 that prevented them from using the stadium?
And worse yet, their in the 11th inning in game 1. Game 2 probably doesn't start until at least 9.

Mets move into a tie with LA and can leapfrog Colorado and Florida tomorrow:

I'm taking credit here. My theory is that the team reads the CPF and finally decided to put the cocksucker Frenchy on the bench for good against righties after reading about my boycott.

Fuck you, Jeff Francoeur.

lol.

K, the historical, erase everything that we have suffered the last 3 years, drive to the top has started.
Its the Mets. From the spring to the mediocre to the top to the doldrums to 10 games out and then back to the top. I love rollercoasters.

We all know, watching this season, some of the play we have seen, that at this point its a minor miracle that they even still have a chance.
Time to call in that major miracle.

Any truth to the rumor that the Mets called for rain so they could help limit Niese's innings?

Footnote to this game(s): BOTH games wound up going extra innings (11 & 10) taking 3:25 & 3:06
Add in the usual half-hour between games and that's 7 hours of baseball on a night that didn't even begin until 6PM.
I'm figuring there weren't a whole lot of people there at the end.
