Screw You, Ken Rosenthal

I hate that smug Ken Rosenthal. He doesn't know much but acts as if every word is gospel. He would be only about the 6th best analyst at ESPN but at FOX, he's #1 out of 1 so he appears to be smarter than he is.

Today, he opines about the Mets chances of voiding F. Rodriguez's contract and he's doing OK until he has to wrap it up:

"The Mets, rather than embark upon another exercise in futility, should fix their sorry team."

It was superfluous and an easy shot and he can go f himself.

and two lines above, he says there's no harm in trying [to void the contract], if i've got my reading comprehension glasses on.

well, which is it?

also, with that last line does he really mean to imply that the pursuit of the one should necessarily get in the way of the other? wouldn't jettisoning frankie go some distance towards teh latter aim? sure, they'd still have ollie on the books, and luis castillo to a lesser degree, but it's a help, no?

He's trying to make sense and play to populism in the same column. It's a tough balance but I'm convinced it's the best way to keep your profile high.

Can't decide whether Rosenthal's last line is akin to a seventh-grade current events oral report or a call to Richard Neer. Either way, it's pretty intense analysis.

If he wants to do that, maybe he should just stand on an egg crate.

Is this where he got the idea to write about all those stories about dwarves and such?
