Our "race" to the top is off to an interesting start.

- Rox came back from a 10-1 hole to top the Braves 12-10 and sweep the series
The comeback included 3 in the 5th, 3 more in the 6th, and then 4 in the 8th after two were down

- Reds were up 10-1 in San Fran but then had to score once in the top of the 9th just to tie it up and hope for extras.
2 in the 5th, 2 in the 6th, and SIX in the 8th for the Gints who are batting in bottom 9

- and in that other league, Boston keeps the pressure on the AL East's top two by winning the first of two vs Seattle

Phils and Halladay lose their home series to the 'Stros-- and J. A. Happ-- 3-2, and try to preclude a sweep tomorrow at 1:05 pm.

A home sweep.

To the Astros.

Word out of DC is that Strasburg has ligament damamge and will require TJ surgery. A big STFU to Rob Dibble who questioned SS's toughness after he was lifted from his last start.

Tough break for the Nats.

Re: O-o-T-S -- Late August

- Marlins thump the Braves, Mets & Phils could be making up a lot of ground right now ... if only both were sucking as well

- Boston goes down to Tampa and draws first blood as Lester out-duels Price

- Yanx getting their butts kicked by the ChiSox. 9-2 in the 7th courtesy of the great Freddie Garcia. 'Nother not so sweet outing by AJ Blownett
