Looks like the stands here at CPF stadium have a lot of empty seats today.

I believe that they made a mistake on that trivia question. Four Mets won the ERA title --- not three: Seaver, Swan (78), Gooden (85) and Santana (08). (Unless I heard the question incorrectly. Maybe I made the mistake. Maybe they asked for the four Mets ERA champs. I'm confused.)

I was thinking the Squeeze for Hernandez's plate appearance.

The only one I can remember from either Willie or Jerry was one where a sign was missed when Shawn Green was at third base.

That's pretty wacky. Whats the point of making these guys masterbunters if you are not gonna cash in more chips.

They just gave the answer to the trivia question and still left off
Santana in 2008. I guess Gary doesn't read the IGT's anymore.

lol.
I think this is a wise move.
Of course, the more moves a manager makes, many times, the more we can say how wrong he is. But I like this move.
I don't wanna see this one get away.

GJ Tak! very nice.
Dickey is the story of the season if things don't change as far as our standings go.
I do believe they will torture me personally a little longer before they fold. I'm not complaining.
I'm used to it ;)

I love how he's moving around the stack at the start.

I sense a pattern there.
*scratches head*
I liked this one particularly: He will wish the Mets didn’t make their bats look like that toothpick hanging from the mouth of the old Royals shortstop, U.L. Washington.

I'm wondering if, somewhere, Jim Bouton is having second thoughts about retiring right after he learned to throw the knuckler.

Re: IGT 08/29, Colt45's at Metropolitans

A lot of good things in this game --- the win of course, but also the first hit for the newest Met, positive contributions from Castillo and Carter, plus more excellence from Dickey.

But Jerry had to go right back to the one-two punch of Parnell and Tak to protect a four-run lead, without an off-day following, before a four-game series that is the team's last best hope. Don't get it.

And that, ultimately, is the reason I'd can him now rather than later-- he's even a piss-poor caretaker.
