IGT 9/1: Un-Frenched, the Mets refuse to surender to Braves

I have not started an IGT in a while, so our luck might change.

Big Pelf goes for No. 14!

I've rarely seen a more aspirational thread title.

Well, okay, then. This lineup would make me curious and a little happy, had I not had that impulse and emotion beaten out of me.

[quote="Steve Popper"]Yes, there is life after Frenchy (ducks) lineup: Castillo 4, Thole 2, Wright 5, Carter 9, Beltran 8, Davis 3, Duda 7, Tejada 6, Pelfrey-RHP

Mets.

Anyway, you know Luis Hernandez has body-snatched Alex Cora's 3. Tonight we shall see Lucas Duda elbowing the ghost of Rod Barajas in 21 and Joaquin Andujar grabbing Jeff Francoeur's 12 before it hits the visitors clubhouse floor.

As the Eagles might have said, did Charlie Samuels get tired, or did he just get lazy.

Re: IGT 9/1: Un-Frenched, the Mets refuse to surender to Braves

Two nice plays by Duda here in the 1st.
Real nice catch there, a sliding catch off the foul line in left.

What Wright was doing away from 3rd base there is beyond me. heads up by Prado but he don't go if Wright is where he should be.

Pelf not having such a good start.
It was 2-0 Braves before he even got an out.

An Animal stolen base, and still... Zip-a-dee-Duda.

So much for the no-hitter tonight.

Hey, Mets! I meant 11 no-hitters pitched for us, not against us.

Re: IGT 9/1: Un-Frenched, the Mets refuse to surender to Braves

Another nice play in left from that Duda dude.
And if Thole holds on there they got Ankiel at the plate.

As it stands the Braves are just slappin us around like we are beeatches w/o pimps.

Re: IGT 9/1: Un-Frenched, the Mets refuse to surender to Braves

That's what I want in our next manager. Some pimp.

Wait, what?

Anyhow, I don't want to make assumptions about the guy pitching against us, but isn't Tommy Hanson the name of that charismatic nogoodnik from school? The one that married the girl with the greatest combination of pretty, sweet, decent, genuine and all that, but treated her terribly, and when you saw her after college, she was 25 but looked 40?

Wasn't that guy named Tommy Hanson in your school? Because I'm pretty sure he was in mine.

Did he ask a lot of questions about drugs and drug dealers? Did he look a little old for high school, and a lot like a pirate of the Caribbean?

Re: IGT 9/1: Un-Frenched, the Mets refuse to surender to Braves

I dunno, but I do believe my girlfriend in high school wore Tommy Hanson jeans.
They stuck to her ass like pine tar on a bat.

OOO, nice throw Carlos.
And nice tag Thole. Way to be on the plate for that throw, kid.

If I was Manuel I would have, just for the hell of it, gotten so thrown out of the game on that close play at first on Tejada.

How many times has Jerry gotten tossed?
Or even had an animated argument?

Hanging out with the Second Spitter and watching this poor excuse for a ballclub on my big ass TV.

Let it be known that two nights in a row, Ruben Tejada has attempted to bunt his way on with two outs and the bases empty and the team down.

One-page IGT. Our production equals that of the Mets.

I was doing other stuff while watching this last night so my attention was not fully on the game.
I didn't realize til I read todays paper that we only had two hit in this game.

Because that would be pretty hardcore.

Wouldn't it?

Tattoos frighten me
It is my belief such markings are meant for a cave wall.
