I've got to think that there's something in his contract that would prevent him from actually doing this. But I might watch the US Open if R.A. were running after tennis balls and throwing knucklers back to the ref.

Let's let Ollie do it!

Ollie would never work out in such a capacity. His control is so erratic that the refs would spend far too much time chasing after wild offerings.

Maine could toss them underhanded.

More reason to love R.A.

I think the tabloid writers would explode due to joy. They would get to talk about baseball instead of covering the tennis, mock the Mets for doing something 'dangerous' by a player off the field, and throw in Seinfeld references all over the place? I think the Daily News is having a meeting to determine what headlines to use as we speak.

I don't know that there is another Met less qualified to be a ball-boy than Ollie. Maybe Mackey Sasser.

Funny that it's Renaissance Athlete who's interested; keeping in mind that it involves running like hell after the balls and then lightly looping them back to the players, this strikes me as a job tailor-made for the Animal.
