Disappearing Promotion

Sunday, September 12th has been touted as Sunglasses Day for a while. Not that it's a huge promotion, but it's something. Now Sunglasses day has disappeared from the schedule. Are the Mets drawing so well that they can afford to take away promised promotions from its fans?

Or maybe the sponsor backed out last minute? That's deinitely weird though.

It's not like these things cost the Mets anything. The geegaws are probably 100% underwritten by the sponsors.

It's not even like a bobblehead promotion, where you can opine that the player is about to be traded. It's just some stinkin' sunglasses.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the sponsor backed out.

They're still holding Fleece Blanket Night on September 10. It's a Gold game, so the fleece part was implied.
