Which is your favorite? Or favourite, if you prefer? Base your judgment on their work mid-Beatles or post-Beatles, or both, I care not.

Re: Favorite Fab Four-er (Spun off from Ringo Island)

In the set of playmates I grew up with, I was the gamma male, so George was more-or-less assigned to me. But it fit me and I stuck with it --- religious, subversive, and as funny and harsh as John but more reserved as to when he played his cards. Always asking questions. Not bitter about his fate. I used to even be skinny.

I look forward to my later life as a recluse.

Ringo. I'm not the type who would favor either of the Big Two (though I have nothing against either) and Ringo gets points for his Marx-Brother-like name. Plus, I kinda like It Don't Come Easy.

I think John, Paul and George all have their strong suits.

Not a Ringo fan.

I've seen Ringo in concert three times, and he's always a lot of fun.

In trying to figure out why I enjoy Ringo's shows more than Sir Paul's, I think that D-Dad nailed it on the head. When you see Ringo, the vibe he puts out there is, "Thank You." With Sir Paul, it's, "You're Welcome."

I'm going with Ringo, just for the fun factor.

Paul gets a raw deal from many Beatle estimators, so I will defend him. Great melody writer, singer, musician. Got into the avant-garde stuff before Lennon did.

I bet Lennon is everyone's second favorite, but his predilection for outward displays of anger plus his choice of spouse are keeping him from the top.

Fair enough, MF... although Paul's done more of which to be proud.

I'll go:

George
Paul
John
Ringo

Kinda figures that a bunch of Friends-of-Metsie are bigger George/Ringo fans, doesn't it?

So you're saying the voting should be done Schaefer style?

I voted for George, as much for anything as for the tremendous All Things Must Pass.

Throw in the fact that we share a birthday, I was born 30 years to the day after George was. John would be my 2nd favorite.

I'm with Irish on the order. However, I like Paul's post-Beatle career the best.

I wish there was a way to vote for all four of them at once -- like if John, Paul, George and Ringo could be grouped somehow.

Paul
George
John
Ringo

While Paul is my favorite, I think George was the best pure musician of the four.
