Well, I guess that settles that.

I'll have to suspend my Felix Heredia pin also.

I guess that makes him the first Met caught roiding while technically a big-leaguer.

New nickname: Heroidia.

Silly, stupid man.

Felix had the steroids thing down, it was the "performance-enhancing" part of the equation that gave him trouble.

Obviously he started taking them when he was a MFY...

On the DL since April 19th?
I thought steroids were supposed to help you heal quicker.
Docs on the board. Is that true?

Damn. What're we going to do for the first ten games of next season?

Have the sportswriters started calling for his 2.61 Schaefer points to be stricken from the record?

Excellent.

Whatever happened to the MFY one-liner thread? Was that here on the old board?

Hey, say what you will about Heredia, but only two pitchers in Mets history threw more innings as a Met without giving up a single run.

QUIZ! Name them.

Must have been before my time here. But it sounds like an excellent idea. Why don't you start one?

Apparently Heredia needs a refund from his dealer.

But in all seriousness like MFS62 I'm wondering if there could be some connection between this positive test result and his medical problems this season. Could he have been legitamitely taking something that caused him to test positive?

I forgot he was a Met.

could be, he had a left thumb problem but then had circulation problems and an aneurysm in his left shoulder .

In related news Victor Conte of BALCO fame was sentenced to eight months today.Four months in prison and four home confinement.

Who woulda predicted that the first full season of testing would catch more pitchers (6) than batters (5)?

This, I know from nothing.

I know the Astros pitcher with a blank ERA who pitched the most innings, but that's not useful here.

I cheated, but I can verify that there are only two such pitchers. And I can't imagine anyone guessing them without cheating.

I'll say no more.

Randy Hennis has a career ERA of 0.00. He pitched 9.2 innings for the Astros in 1990. That's the longest of anyone who pitched for the Astros and who owns a 0.00 career ERA. Someone on another forum asked the question and so I cheated to find the answer. I got the sponsorship of his page for free for filling out a survey on baseball-reference.

Everything they did to go after the BALCO folks, all the fuss that was made and all he gets is eight months, four of which he'll serve at home. Unbelievable.

What sucks is if it wasnt for that the Mets wouldnt even be in the news.

Yeah, you're right. It's impossible without cheating. Sorry. Unfair question.

It's Dan Schatzeder (1990) and CJ Nitkowski (2001), 5 2/3 innings each.
