Watching the Sox reminded me of a funny incident a few years ago.
To set this up, my Dad has always been one of those "I root for both teams" kind of fans (this guy grew up idolizing Mantle so I don't know what the hell happened) and in recent years (he's in his early 60's) has been not following sports at all execpt to watch an odd game at night, and even then he turns in for bed with well enough time left
So anyway, we are at a Yankee-White Sox game a few years ago (his company buys season tickets to both Yankee and Mets games for clientel, naturally he and his partner squirel some away) and Magglio Ordonez gets a big hit, my dad says:
"Why couldn't he do that as a Met?"
