Got Married, Went to Aruba.

Not that anyone probably noticed since I was pretty quiet to begin with but by way of explanation as to where I've been for the last month is that I got married and then went to Aruba on my honeymoon. The wedding was in Cape May on the Jersey shore at a small inn across from the ocean. It was wonderful and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!

Aruba was great - we spent lots of time on the beach and going out to eat at yummy restaurants. We also rented a jeep and went off-roading which was probably one of the highlights of the trip for us.

The place we stayed, the Renaissance Ocean Suites, had a private island for the guests which was really nice and I spent a lot of time lounging in the hammocks. :

Here's me on the wilder side of the island where you need a four-wheel drive vehicle to really explore. In this pic I'm standing near a neat-o cove and natural bridge we found. No, not the famous natural bridge, as that one collapsed a few weeks ago which was quite a surprise to many tourists.

A lot of the island is actually very desert-like. This is a photo of a divi-divi tree from the national park:
All the many divi-divi trees on the island all point in the same direction due to the ever present wind. What was cool was coming across some wildlife in the park such as many lizards and some wild goats. What wasn't so cool was the temperatures - in the 90's all week.

Lastly, one of many spectacular sunsets we saw.
That was the view we had from the balcony of where we stayed.

Definitely a great trip!

LOL, everyone probably just wanted to play poke the Yankee fan when things weren't going well for the boys in pinstripes!

="Valadius"]Nice photos. Hopefully Sir Sidney Ponson didn't cause any trouble for you.
It's funny because each time we drove through a fancy neighborhood I kept wondering which house was his. I should have looked for a weaving car!

="soupcan"]What? No bikini shots?
You'll have to ask my husband for those - he immediately took possession of those afraid that I'd delete them!

Silver, just wondering.
Now that you're married, are you going to take your spouse's screen name?
Hyphenate yours with his?
Go with your maiden name?

Just another of those choices a married woman has to make these days.

LOL, since he's Jim F. I could become silver-F. Nah, I think I'm going to have to keep my maiden (screen)name.

Yup. That's become about as much of an umpire "gimmie" as the phantom double play.
