Clint Barmes-Felipe Paulino

Straight up swap between Colorado and Houston.

Barmes had about as good a start to a rookie season as anybody ever, then fell down the stairs carrying a load of venison, and has never been the same guy.

Not bad for the Astros. Their middle infield is soft.

Re: Clint Barmes-Felipe Paulino

I wonder what kind of sexual favors a pitcher with a career 5.83 ERA offers to his GM so he doesn't get traded to Denver.
Obviously this guy didn't offer enough.

Paulino is one of those young, "has upside if he can stay healthy" type of pitchers. The Rockies have had some success with developing arms lately, and they gave up an arb-eligible guy who's no longer good enough to start for them.

If Barmes isn't hitting in Colorado, I'm not sure what Houston really expects from this..
