Here we go: http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/ ... id=5761839

Melvin spends his offseasons living in Manhattan, where his daughter Alexi studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in Union Square.

"We have summers in Arizona and winters in New York," Melvin said in March before a Mets spring training game against the Atlanta Braves, as he began his tenure as a Mets scout. "You'd think it would be the other way around in a perfect world, but that's the way we've done it."

Also:
Melvin resides in Cave Creek, Arizona, with his wife, Kelley. He has one daughter, Alexi, who is an actress, studying in New York City. During the off season, Melvin and his wife frequently stay at their apartment in New York, with their daughter. Melvin and his family are also very active with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation—his daughter suffers from juvenile diabetes.

Second loudest show I've ever been to. While they were playing, my face looked like Buzzo's.

Don't be shy!

Ten Craners says, if her dad gets hired, she takes her personal e-mail off that site about eight minutes later.

Not shy, but I think I would've hired another actress while waiting for her site to load. Bump up to the 'Plus' hosting package, Allie! This is your career we're talking about!!!

Alexi rocks the amnesia roles, but isn't too genuine about acting excited on the red carpet.

Alexi thinks it should've been cast this way.

Re: At Home with the Melvins (split from Dispatches)

Would the struggling-actress daughter of a manager (or bench coach) count as a MLBS?

Mrs. Melvin has a Margot-Kidder-minus-the-smoking-and-mental-illness thing going on.
