Off, but was up at 6:15 anyway, went to iHop and stuffed ourselves with pancakes.

At the beginning of serving today in my dinner program, I got a notion in my head, and I asked if there were any veterans. I get conned often enough and I'm thinking, "So what if he's conning --- you get your dinner five seconds later." I mean, four people in 70. Big whoop. The other three start pulling out their ID cards, and I'm thinking, nobody's ruining anybody's day here. "Put your cards away, nobody's has to prove anything." To the big mouth, I just gave a huge, "SHUT UP!" Seriously, though, I'd really like... I'd like a lot of things, but it would be great if we could bring a sunset on the term "homeless vet." We can be for or against every last government entitlement, but if there are to be any, they should be the ones getting 'em --- get on the front of a better line than my soup line.
