I'm not so sure he looks like he has anything like four years of health and productivity ahead of him, but a good batting eye doesn't grow old as fast as some other skills.

That's not more per year than Jeter, whose officially been offered $45 million over three, and has reportedly been offered more.

I'm not sad to have him out of the division. Plus, seeing as how the Mets are apparently precluded from ever playing the White Sox on the interleague schedule, my guess is that the Mets never again face Dunn for the length of his contract (barring trade/release).

It's true that Dunn leaving the neighborhood takes some sting out of the potential Feliciano-less future we face. Now if Ryan Howard could go to Cleveland, Chase Utley to Texas, and Jayson Heyward to the Royals, we'd be set.
