4 years for $56 million.

Good deal on the years and money.

Do they play with a three-DH formation in the AL Central?

I'm not so sure he looks like he has anything like four years of health and productivity ahead of him, but a good batting eye doesn't grow old as fast as some other skills.

If you're thinking that's more per year than the Yanks have offered Jeter, just remember a few things:
Dunn is younger
Dunn has more power
Dunn has more range
Dunn probably has a better arm
But who gives a flying rat's rectum anyhow, since he's a DH?

STFU, you whining Yankee fans.
Dunn IS worth more.

That's not more per year than Jeter, whose officially been offered $45 million over three, and has reportedly been offered more.

A guy I always hoped would be a Met.

He sure does seem to hit some monster bombs at Citi Field.

I'm not sad to have him out of the division. Plus, seeing as how the Mets are apparently precluded from ever playing the White Sox on the interleague schedule, my guess is that the Mets never again face Dunn for the length of his contract (barring trade/release).

It's true that Dunn leaving the neighborhood takes some sting out of the potential Feliciano-less future we face. Now if Ryan Howard could go to Cleveland, Chase Utley to Texas, and Jayson Heyward to the Royals, we'd be set.
