Steve Carrel voices a villain whose fiendish hijinx are unexpectedly undermined.

I know fMan mentioned this flick in some thread but I couldn't find it. Anyhow, I wanted to say, a better movie than I'd been led to believe. His nemesis villain Vector just killed me.

It didn't get going for me until he reads the bedtime story.

Am I right about the bedtime story scene, though? Comic joy with every pageturn.

It was a nice scene, but you kinda knew it was coming too.

Lunchpail and I are both walking around quoting Vector. "I commit crimes with magnitude... and direction!"

He likes to say "Oh, poop!" It's the funniest thing he's ever heard.

The kids got it on DVD as an Xmas present and we watched it again. It holds up just fine.

We saw this tonight on On Demand. We enjoyed it - it's a good, light comedy. Unlike a lot of the comedy fare these days, this didn't insult the viewers' intelligence. It's fluff, but fun fluff.

Well worth the $4.99 rental.

Pleasant enough. We liked it more than the baby did, but then, she's a little young. Docked a couple of points in my book for stupid, random-catchphrase ("chillax?") jokes... but if Nick Jr. shows are any indicator of current kid sensabilities, it'll get/already have gotten those points back among the 5-8-year-old set.

Surprisingly good film. Witty, and used the animation well. The minions were delightful.
