Never sure what to make of him as a player, like he would be a good guy of the bench/fourth outfielder a for a team going places, hit you 15 home runs and 60 rbi....

Washington has seemed loaded with those guys in recent years, haven't they? Outfielders who are good to have if you don't ask too much of them? Willingham, Churchie, Maxwell, Harris. Not who you want full-time, but not disasters as full-timers either.

Seems like an almost moneyballesque "buy low" pick up by the A's. also, what about Churchie for 4th OFer?

Thats a crowded OF in Oakland: DeJesus, Willingham, Crisp, Matsui, Sweeney, Conor Jackson.
