His DiamondDeal is finally finalized finally. Gonna catch him some Kevin Mulvey.

May good luck find him. At least 156 games a year.

Looked like a roadside diner short-order cook with a past. Hit like he was using a skillet to do so. But man, that defense.

And that one walkoff home run against the Giants on windy, windy May 8th, natch. Thanks for sending my mom home happy.

A memorable set of Mets weekly interviews where Mike Pelfrey revealed that there was a rumor going around the clubhouse that Blanco had once killed a man (or at least looked like he could). Apparently Blanco was finally confronted with this information and when asked if he had ever killed someone he responded "not yet, Pelfrey, not yet."

Hoot...

If he turned up next to Danny Trejo in a movie I'd not be surprised, had that look about him....seemed like a good teammate

I get more of a Luís Guzmán vibe off of him.

He's probably already been in two dozen films and tv shows and nobody's noticed.

I like when he killed those guys with that bolt pistol thingy, before Josh Brolin took his money.

Wait, what?

His walkoff homer off eventual world champion Gullermo Mota was f*cking awesome. One of my two favorite Citi Field memories to date.

I don't even remember this ever happened. Should I be worried?

I don't much think of Blanco as a Met. I think ancient guys with long histories with other teams brought in on one-year deals oughta retire as Mets or not come at all.

May 8th, a Saturday afternoon game... the day after Mid-Throb-Era Barajas clocked a walkoff hisself.
