Facebook Protocol

Someone comments on your status or picture. How do you respond? In the same thread? Personal message back to them? Post something on their wall?

I just play it by ear, sometimes a comment on a status turns in to a long thread .........a reply of thanks on a picture comment sometimes...reciprocate sometimes...a picture comment on my son from a friend in Australia the other night had me sending him a message, it had been a while since we last exchanged messages...I don't think there is any protocol....just as well as I am still waiting for something from you for commenting on your kids ages ago....LOL .kidding....

It's not one size fits all. You can just "like" the comment, or you can follow it up with a comment of your own. Or you can even ignore it. Like irish said, just play it by ear. There's no right or wrong (absent general Nettiquette, like not typing in all caps).

I was going to repond to this, but then I thought I should PM you. I started one but it seemed more appropriate to call you. I couldn't find the number, so I went back to bed. Really, go where your heart leads you. Have you learned nothing from The Karate Kid? As long as you're goofing off from work, that's what's important.
