Adam Rubin reporting that the Mets are set to sign Taylor Tankersley to a minor league deal. Elbow surgery and a missed seaosn in 2009. Brief and terrible in 2010. What, I ask, is not to like? Sorry, Michael O'Connor, your life is about to become complectified.

You know what's great though , all these guys will be spending the spring together and getting to know each other and then reporting to minor league camp when the real stuff starts for the players heading north.

Really, he was part of that snotty group of Marlins with the stupid boy-band names that irritated me: Cody, Jeremy, Taylor, Logan etc etc (no offense to actual readers with those names, just a personal thing). F Taylor. Go Michael.

He was pretty terrible in limited appearances in 2010, but he still got them lefties out. Split PA BA OBP SLG OPS vs RHB 22 .333 .455 .778 1.232 vs LHB 35 .200 .286 .433 .719 Less extreme over the course of his career, but... Split PA BA OBP SLG OPS vs RHB 303 .268 .386 .452 .838 vs LHB 221 .223 .313 .372 .686 No Feliciano, but definitily worth a look, and seemingly at the stage of his career where he'd be happy to take a crack at the role of lefty specialist. But yeah, that walk rate is a challenge.
