Meanwhile, I had. _ _ A L M S Y and no place to play it. I already dumbly let a TWS go and didn't want to screw up again.

T finally came up with

Despite all of the CHAKRAS that ABNS pays attention to, I showed that I can drop a bingo on him ANYTIME.

As for JCL, well, call the PREACHER. We have a DETAINEE in our midst. In fact, bingo after bingo just CLUTTERS up the board.

On the verge of an retirement during a terrible run and down 40 to Lunchbucket, I threw down the wordy-looking letter combination ENWOUND, and damned if it wasn't kosher. Suddenly, I'm William H. Macy in The Cooler, and my luck does a 180. I'm throwing down hammers left and right, including two more bingos in the next four turns --- RALLIERS and DIOXIDE --- both of which I saw just as I was about to hit submit on some other flaccid 14-18 point play. My 456-280 victory was as complete as any in recent memory.

Is my Scrabblevision back for good, or did I just have a lucky day? Play me next week and find out!

Just turned a game around with BASTION through a triple-word-score square on my pentultimate play, after being behind since a two-point lead after turn two.

Also, downloaded words with friends on my phone, if you wanna challenge me there go ahead but wondering how that's any better than Scrabble if at all. I'm not interested in playing with a differently arranged board and point totals juts for differentness' sake. Opinions?

I believe the layout and scoring are different in WWF so that it will not be in violation of the copyright of SCRABBLE Brand Crossword Game. I don't like it too much because it changes the strategy of the game. Also, WWF is overly flashy with annoying ads and stuff, but doesn't give you a preview of what your score would be when you lay out the tiles. I don't have a smartphone so I play both games on the computer and find SCRABBLE easier to use overall there.

i dunno. most of my wordplay is on wwf right now. mostly because all my friends play wwf, and i don't get any fb game requests anymore. scrabble loads way slower than wwf on my iphone, and doesn't always successfully load my games when i have them, but it does push notifications most of the time. its just such a pain in the ass to get the app to load consistently that i don't always pop into it.

it's worth noting that wwf does not allow dirty words. i tried to play SLUT the other day and was told it is not an acceptable word. boo.

I just tried to play SLUT too; surprised it didn't take it. I'm almost exclusively on WWF these days.

Beyond the BINGO points, I bridged two TWS squares for a total walkoff play of 140, plus a 40-point transfer from the opponent's rack. POW!

Will you shut up about Words with Friends? It's a bingo thread, not an Off-Brand Alternatives to Scrabble thread.

I was down by 120 with the bag empty. There I was holding two S's and two blanks, but no room to play through any tiles except and F, and I came up with SEMISOFT, not knowing if it would be kosher, and kabamm, I won by 60.

And it was beautiful.

Yeah that's nice.

I'm thinking about retiring from WWF after opening my first-ever game vs Seawolf with REUNION and BLOVIATE back to back.

Re: Bingoland, 2011

Just hammered Marathon with SQUINTED for 111.

Felt so good about myself I absolutely made up a word against Bucket with DEVOICED. It surprised me by being legit. Not a bingo, but good for 46 on the TWS square.

Feed me the ball.

Re: Bingoland, 2011

I've mostly been playing WWF because the app actually works smoothly unlike the scrabble for facebook one (and not enough of you have games going with me for me to bother)

Yeah, the Scrabble Android app is one of the worst apps I have encountered.

Soon, I'm not going to enjoy it enough to re-install it every 10 days.

QUAGGIER with the Q on a DL and the whole thing across a TW for a total of 137 points and my highest scoring word in Facebook Scrabble. Best yet, I played it against my mother who is always kicking my butt.

Not a walk-off bingo, but a top-of-the ninth bingo for an eventual come from behind victory against Lunchbucket.

CONSPIRE

The game had two other bingos: STRAFING for Lunchy and LURKING for me.

Yeah, and we should use the Phonyland thread more, because I've had some pretty cromulent UN- words knocked off by my computer opponent.
