The End of the Fantastic Four

After fifty years, according to Marvel and the Associated Press, the Fantastic Four will be no more.

Issue No. 588 will be the last of the series, as the writers have decided to kill off a member of the team in issue No. 587. For spoilers, follow the link. (Don't worry, it's not the Thing.)

Of course, this is comic books, so anything is possible. But it does look like the Fantastic Four comic book is coming to an end.

Come on. I think Uncle Ben is the only dead person in the Marvel Universe who has stayed dead.

Uncle Ben and Bucky Barnes were considered the only characters who would never be revived.

Until they revived Bucky.

And, I guess, Gwen Stacy came back in the Ultimate Marvel re-boot.
