Crack Boom Bam

Kenny Aronoff was a trained classical percussionist who wanted to rock, and hooked up with Johnny Cougar when they were young. Both he and Cougar were just barely hanging on after a couple of poor-selling records, and Cougar had already fired a few band members when they were recording the third record.

Pick up Aronoff at around 5:35 in the below vid. It continues at the beginning of the next link... (some language) Great stuff.

Everyone on earth knows that solo though, and as he says it may have saved his career. Aronoff today is one of the top session drummers. I made a list of some of his songs here:

Oh, yeah, that was ungenerous. I'm not speaking so much of the solo as a failure in itself, and I love the fact that it saved his (very impressive) career, but only that he was giving CPR to a dummy, as far as the track.

Eric Franklin Rosser, Cougar keyboardist and international pedophilia fugitive, not murderer (so far as I can tell). My mistake.

Held onto sixteen as long as he could, and then some?
