Choose up to four (4) shows that you feel deserve to move on to the knock-out round.
Voting will close at approx 10AM on Friday.

man, it's tough voting in this round.

i never saw get smart. i've never watched andy griffith. i never failed to change the channel when barney miller came on. i didn't really watch much of the odd couple. but of hte shows i never really watched, i think i liked it the best.

i watched cosby all the time, but i can't honestly say that i like it. i probably did at the time, but i think i'm over it. seinfeld grated on me, especially as it got more and more ubiquitous. frazier i liked a lot, but it got stale. i can still watch it if it's on, so long as its not one of the later episodes. and then there's gilligan's island.

i'm readily checking off the box for gilligan

with hesitation, i also shall click on frazier and the odd couple.

ODD COUPLE is a no-brainer.
GET SMART and BARNEY MILLER are both personal faves.
I'm sorry but i just can't pull the trigger on GILLIGAN.

Frasier, Odd Couple, Seinfeld, although I hesitated over Seinfeld.

Considered Get Smart, but I'm trying to get more choosy in the later rounds.

Have to go with Barney out of loyalty to Ted Flicker, but I would have anyway. And Get Smart.

Get Smart
Odd Couple
Barney Miller
Seinfeld

Neither Frasier nor Cheers did much for me. I thought about Gilligan. No thoughts for the other two.

Barney Miller and The Odd Couple are definite. I also gave a vote to Frazier and thought about The Cosby Show, but it was really only funny for the first season so it didn't make the cut. Gilligan and Get Smart are just dumb. Seinfeld I never cared for. Andy Griffith I never watched.

Gilligan and Get Smart were dumb in different ways.

The chemistry between Tony Randall and Jack Klugman was wonderful to watch.

And Oscar was a Mets fan!

Exactly. There's a reason why roughly 1/3 of all sitcoms followed this template-- mismatched couple (whether platonic or romantic)-- afterward.

If Jackie Gleason and Carol O'Connor had the two best characterizations in sitcom history, than Tony Randall and Jack Klugman may have been numbers three and four. And the whole was even better than the sum of the parts.

They had both done hundreds of hours of TV by that point and were kings of the small screen.

I don't get the love for "Get Smart" myself.

I loved it as a kid. A few years ago, I picked up Season four on DVD and deemed it unwatchable. The ratio of good jokes to bad was dismal. But season four was the year that 86 and 99 married. So maybe that was a shark jumping season.

I watched it 'cos Agent 99 was pretty. I had planned to be her when I grew up.

No, i don't think i will. If it doesn't make you laugh, you may be missing a chromosome. You should have that checked.

My sister was often told that she looked like Barbara Feldon.

Which leads us to the great Mad About You episode where Paul and Ira fight over Barbara Feldon...
