Low bar to be a celebrity in Grand Rapids

The Grand Rapids Griffins, the Detroit Red Wings' minor league team, has an annual "Great Skate" fundraiser where players skate in shifts for 24 hours, and fans and well-wishers join them.

For the last two years I've been asked to be a "celebrity skater" in the media division, which, well, means that the bar to be a celebrity in Grand Rapids is set pretty low.

But, it's a good, tax-deductible cause. And the Grifins are nice people who do a lot in the community. If you'd like to donate, here's my page. Anything is very much appreciated. Thank you!
