You know, this bullpen's looking a little shaky. Might be a good idea to get rid of some of these extra prospects, and grab a second closer. Heck, ST's only a week away. There's no time to check medical records!

If the Mets wanted to take a chance on a relatively young (about 33) lefthander who hadn't pitched in the majors for a while, what about Oldlis Perez? He had simlar (if not slightly better) success as Ollie, and they were both free agents. I have always thought the Mets should have signed him instead of the other O. Perez. And he isn't coming back off an injury, just a contract dispute and (maybe) being given the reputation as a hothead and blackballed when he refused to report to the minors. Later

Mid-release, his nose seems to get that weird elongated-pointy-bend thing that both Plastic Man and Elongated Man seem to have in the comics.
